Managing people is hard.

 

Hybrid teams. Conflicting priorities. Senior leaders wanting results. Teams wanting answers. And the manager in the middle, holding it all together with good intentions and not enough time. 

Most of them are working flat out – and still feel like they’re falling behind. 

It’s not a performance problem. It’s a support problem. 

 

That’s what I fix. 

How I think about it

After 20 years working with managers, I’ve noticed something consistent. 

When things feel off, it usually comes down to one of three things: 

 

Clarity. Communication. Confidence. 

 

And those things wobble in three directions – with themselves, with their team, and with the wider organisation. 

That’s the People Spark 3C’s. A simple framework. Surprisingly revealing when you hold it up against what’s actually going on. 

It’s not a magic formula. But it is a useful lens – and it tends to show very quickly where the friction is coming from.

 Knowing what actually matters. What good looks like. Where to spend time and where to stop wasting it.

Communication

Saying things clearly. Listening properly. Having the conversations that need to happen instead of the ones that are easy.

Trusting your own judgement. Holding your ground. Influencing upwards without losing yourself in the process.
